NT vs Win95 OSR2 on new PentiumPro
Rebooted - sound gone (most probably because I was overwriting the drivers) BUT, both my DVD-ROM and CD-RW are listed as having corrupt or missing drivers (Code 39) Tried uninstalling/re-installing my soundcard - no luck. CD-Rom Gone after upgrading to Win98SE
Seems that OSR2 is not recognizing the 2nd IDE port after the PNP card is installed, and will not recognize it when it is removed again. Has anyone else had this problem? A week ago I had a hard W95 crash when the sound card was active and when I rebooted it complained about missing drivers.

The Windows "Plug & Pray" will try to install drivers for those components that missing drivers. After it finishes installing the drivers, I'm pretty sure the windows will boot properly. The reason for that is, there's a problem with the one of the components that force Windows to boot into Safe mode.

Unfortunately, the Win95 backup program provides *no way* to do this without re-installing Win95 from the original disks or CD ROM.
